Here we have got like for like with a replacement deck. The old deck was falling apart rotten away and become a hazard in the garden falling through you expose yourself to rusty screws and nails and it needed a revamp. We changed the line of the decking boards this was to run the line down the garden. Doing this it gives the impression of the garden being bigger than it is.
As always, we used treated timber so there is no need to paint, stain or protect although it will provide longer life for the deck. In this garden we also replaced the raised bed edges. We used 6×2 inch timbers which will last a long time and used 4-inch posts to attach them to. Which was more heavy duty than the 3 inch we replaced.
