For this project the ground was very much uneven and not suitable for entertaining. We built an extremely sturdy deck using 6×2 timbers for the structure and regular decking boards for the surface. We were able to level the ground completely only including one step down and keeping to building regulations of being 30cm off the ground at any point! To provide a sense more privacy we installed a custom privacy lattice trellis along the top of the existing fence.
